The Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center (DTTAC) at Emory University is inviting you to participate in a DTTAC Master Trainer Select Training in April 2024. This training will be using distance delivery through the webinar platform Zoom.
This interactive training will be led by an expert DTTAC National Master Trainer for a pre-approved group of Master Trainer Select candidates. After this training, candidates will be prepared to serve as a Master Trainer Select for their organization and provide Lifestyle Coach Training for the National Diabetes Prevention Program within their organization.*
This will be a 4-day training - each training day consists of five hours of live training time with additional asynchronous independent work assigned. Master Trainer candidates should expect a highly engaging training that:
- Exposes candidates to the DTTAC proprietary Lifestyle Coach training curriculum and materials

Prepares candidates for the important practice of role modeling Lifestyle Coach skills during training delivery, and for providing ongoing support for Lifestyle Coaches to enhance their skills and success
- Provides candidates opportunities to engage in peer sharing around their organization's delivery of the lifestyle change program
The live virtual sessions are required for completing training and will be held on the following dates/times:
- April 9 @ 12:00-5:00pm ET
- April 11 @ 12:00-5:00pm ET
- April 16 @ 12:00-5:00pm ET
- April 18 @ 12:00-5:00pm ET
Note: Trainees will need a computer with camera, microphone, and internet to participate in the live virtual sessions. Active participation, with cameras on and the ability to come off mute, in all 4 sessions is mandatory.
* As a reminder, the DTTAC Master Trainer Select program is not intended to prepare independent trainers or national trainers. Master Trainer Selects do not train nationwide or train Lifestyle Coaches not affiliated with their organizations National DPP program.
