At Emory Centers for Training and Technical Assistance, we are committed to applying public health in practice through high quality professional development and training experiences for our customers and their community partners. Our services span across all public health issues, risk factors, and professional competencies.
Our three dedicated Centers have provided capacity-building services to community, state and national programs in all 50 states and territories over the past decade.
DTTAC is our specialty center dedicated to diabetes prevention and control. One of our primary initiatives is the training of the nationwide workforce of Lifestyle Coaches and master trainers for scaling the National DPP. The Center staff provides innovative training, technical assistance, and services to foster strong leadership, increase organizational capacity, and strengthen partnerships within the diabetes prevention and control community.
Services: In-person and virtual Lifestyle Coach training, in-person and virtual advanced learning and workshop opportunities, strategic planning, implementation, and general technical assistance support.
Training and Technical Assistance Center (TTAC)
TTAC is our specialty center dedicated to development of the public health workforce, practitioners, and community partners engaged in translating and implementing public health in practice. Previously known as the Tobacco Training and Technical Assistance Consortium, the demand grew for services across all chronic diseases and risk factors to strengthen public health competencies. Today our TTAC services designed to meet the individual needs of our customers and tailored to individuals, groups, worksites and communities working in a variety of health areas, including but not limited to, tobacco, heart disease, diabetes, physical activity and nutrition, oral health, Alzheimer’s and related dementias, and Ebola.
Services: Tailored professional and organizational development, in person and online trainings, workshops, mini-academies and institutes, technical assistance and coaching, instructional design and product development, strategic action planning and program evaluation, coalition and community building, and interactive online peer learning communities.
Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement (PEQI)
PEQI is our specialty center dedicated to continuous quality improvement through feedback on how programs, practices, and information systems are working in practice. We work collaboratively with our clients to identify actionable solutions that enhance the performance of public health professionals and organizations, and support informed decision-making as part of your people or product design, development, and implementation strategy.
Services: Program evaluation services including feasibility and needs assessments, process and outcomes evaluations, quality and business process improvement
