Food Insecurity and Lifestyle Change: How to Assess and Navigate Food Access and Food Insecurity

Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 12:00-1:00pm ET

Competency: Cultural Humility

When access to food is limited, making healthy choices becomes even more difficult. This session focuses on how food insecurity, including issues with affordability, availability, and access, can affect participants attempting to make lifestyle changes. Lifestyle Coaches will learn how to recognize signs that a participant may be facing these challenges and explore practical, respectful ways to adapt program delivery. From supporting realistic goal-setting to offering local resource ideas, this session equips coaches to meet participants where they are and help them move forward.

This webinar has been updated to reflect the current climate and includes updates examples and resources.

This webinar will be held live on Thursday, May 21, 2026 from 12:00-1:00pm ET. If a registrant is unable to attend the live event, a webinar recording will be sent to all registrants. This course must be completed 3 weeks (21 days) after the live event to receive a certificate of completion.
